Him and the Miami Heat will be facing off against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight but the Heat have an advantage. Lebron always plays extra hard on his birthday. He averages 35.3 points 7.8 rebounds and 5 assists on birthday games.

"My birthday and my mom's birthday are the two days I feel real, real good about playing basketball," James said on Friday morning after the team's shootaround. "I've had the luxury of having games on my birthday and my mom's birthday so we'll see what happens."

After a year of marriage, Russell Brand files for divorce from singer Katy Perry. The two have reportedly been having marital issues that lead to a huge fight before Christmas. The argument, which may have been caused by Russell's feelings towards Perry's parents, may have been the breaking point because after the two were spotted without wedding rings and even spent the holiday apart.
Brand filed for divorce Friday, stating that the two had ”irreconcilable differences”. He also released the following statement,
"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage," Brand said in a statement. "I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."

Jackie Magazine At It Again!

After the fiasco at Jackie Magazine over their editor calling Rihanna a N-word with a ghetto booty you would think they would fall back a little...but no.
Apparently the magazine is outraged by their editor deciding to leave and has taken back their apology and has also lashed out at the public in the following statement
” [T]here is nothing wrong in the magazine. [Hoeke] presented it as a joke, but it most certainly was not a joke. It was an interpretation [of a fashion style]…She should have said: “we did not realize this interpretation is such a touchy subject. We never meant any harm and offer our sincere and upright apologies.” But because of all the fuss, Eva started to wiggle in all directions, and therefore we have come to the conclusion her credibility has been undermined.”

Smh....when will these people learn?

Scene: It's a cold night in Detroit, it's raining, it's dark, and it's silent. You're mobbing through the streets and you need some music to listen to. You're tired of listening to the same old music about flossing, bad women, and getting throwed. You put in the new Big Gov mixtape and ....banger!!!!!

I recently had the chance to meet one of Detroit's hottest rap labels Black Guvernment Music Group and their starring act Big Gov from Detroit, MI. Now anyone who knows me, knows that I love a local rap movement, and this one is the strongest! You have to have seen these guys too. Big Gov is one of the main producers for Pinky XXX and he also played Marcel in the movie "Envy". You can also check him out on Reverbnation, Pandora, and download the "Debt Collector" on iTunes.

The Black Guvernment Music Group as a whole has a lot going, these guys never sleep. With the re-release of "Money Talks" and the upcoming video shoot the movement grows everyday. They are looking for models for there video as well so for inquiries email fem_inc@yahoo.com.

Another case of a sensitive Susan. Son of Black Panther Fred Hampton who was assassinated by the New York Police is all up in arms about the way Jay Z described Hampton's death in Murder of Excellence. During a screening for The Black Power Mixtape:1967-1975 Fred Hampton Jr. blasted Hov for the following lyric ” I arrived on the day Fred Hampton died, real niggas don't die they multiply”. Apparently Hampton has a problem with the fact that Jigga didn't let the world know that ” Fred Hampton didn't die he was assassinated” and even called him Slave-Z.

Come on now!!!! It's a lyric died rhymed with alive, assassinated didn't fit and instead of trying to beef with Hov, how about use this opportunity to educate the masses on who your father really was.

Following Kim Kardasian's marriage debacle there were some people who were so fed up with the Kardashian clans behavior that a petition was filed to encourage E! to discontinue showing any Kardasian related shows.

Petition organizer Cyndy Snider says in a statement to Yahoo, "In a grass roots effort, we have collected [thousands of] signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming. We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption."

Beyonce fans everywhere got one of their biggest wishes granted when Beyonce released the video for "I Was Here" which was taped live at the Roseland. Beyonce shared lots of personal pictures, including pictures of her 2008 wedding to Jay Z. Until now there have been few details and no photos of the wedding day. Bey included a few photos of her in a beautiful white strapless dress with an exaggerated hem. Beyonce looks very natural and beautiful with no hair or make up done, and these photos bring the natural essence of a woman on the most important day of her life.

Popular rapper Heavy D has passed away at the age of 44.
Police were called to the home at 11:25 this morning with reports of an unconscious man in his walkway. Upon arriving, EMTs found Heavy D conscious and talking.
Heavy D was announce dead.
Police are investigating the death, but so far no foul play has been suspected.
Heavy D recently performed at the BET awards and was planning a come back tour.

The verdict that every adoring Michael jakcon fan has been waiting to hear has been announced. Dr. Conrad Murray has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Murray gave Jackson the lethal dose of the medicine prpofol which is used as an anesthetic for surgeries. The verdict followed only 9 hours of jury deliberation, which was shorter than expected in a high profile case such as this.

This is a prime example of letting fame get to your head.

Left Brain spits obscenities at Amy Harris after
slapping her at the Voodoo Festival.

During a performance at the Voodoo festival, following a rant by Tyler the Creator about how unfair it was for photographers to have a barricaded area during shows, Odd Future member Left Brain threw a tantrum where he threw water, kicked equipment and eventually slapped freelance photographer Amy Harris. The slap wasn't hard enough to cause damage to Harris or her equipment so she initially decided not to press charges against Left Brain whose real name is Vyron Turner. However, according to HipHopDX.com, after Odd Future began to call Harris a liar and assault her character, the well known photographer has decided to press charges. She made the following statement on her site.

“I was very disheartened to learn yesterday that Odd Future is denying that one of its members, Vyron Turner (“Left Brain”), engaged in the violent conduct that so many people witnessed and even photographed or videotaped. After he so publicly attacked me, I truly believed that an apology would be immediately forthcoming, which is why I declined to press charges at that time. The unexpected turn of events, including an attack by Odd Future on my credibility and motives for discussing the incident, have caused me to re-evaluate my initial decision. I’ve contacted an attorney – Amy Borlund with Doll Amir & Eley in Los Angeles – and am pursuing my options. At a minimum, I am seeking a public apology from Vyron Turner. Ultimately, I want a resolution in which Turner is held accountable for his actions.”

When it comes to jeans women have so many styles to choose from, but mens styles are so limited. I'm over the baggy jeans trend and I surely don't believe that any adult male should be wearing skinny jeans, with the exception of Kanye West who I believe rocks them well.

The writers over at Esquire must feel the same because they made a list of the hottest new jean trends for men, and sorry guys skinny jeans just didn'y make the xut. But how about trying a nice slim pair like these from J.Crew.

I have also been a big fan of the low rise option for men like these from 4 Strokes.

I'm not so much a fan of the pants rolled up thing....save that for the beach! I'm sure these Diesel jeans would look just as nice rolled down.

The Ultimate Sacrifice: Mother Refuses Chemo Treatment to Save Unborn Child

This story just touched my heart and I had to share............

Stacie Crimm gave her child more than life. She gave up her own life so that her baby could live.
According to MSNBC.com Stacie was diagnosed with head and neck cancer shortly after she found out she was pregnant with the baby that she thought she would never be able to conceive. She had a chance for survival if she agreed to chemotherapy treatments that would put the baby that she was carrying in great harm. Stacie sacrificed her only chance at survival to give her daughter Dottie Mae life, even though she would not be alive to see her grow up. Stacie tried her hardest to hold on for her daughter. but the cancer took control. Stacie was rushed to the hospital after collapsing in her home and doctors performed a C-Section was performed to save Dottie Mae's life. Dottie Mae was born 10-weeks premature and weighed only 2 pounds. Stacie was able to hold her daughter momentarily but soon after giving birth to her baby girl, she slipped into a coma and died three days later. Dottia Mae will live with Stacie's brother and his wife as Stacie wished.

Detroit Lions Jerome Harrison Brain Tumor Diagnosis Stops Trade

Just before being traded to the Philadelphia to the Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions running back Jerome Harrison has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The brain tumor, which was discovered during a physical conducted by the Eagles, voids the trade as was posted on the Philadelphia Eagles website Wednesday night. It appears that the potential trade saved Harrison's life because had it not been for the physical, the tumor would not have been discovered so soon. Sources say that Harrison has seen multiple doctors and is being treated for the tumor. Although he will not be able to play football this season, he is expected to make a full recovery.

After Target totally dropped the ball on the Missoni for Target line I was excited to hear about the launch of Versace for H&M. I was even more excited when a good friend dropped me a link to some leaked pictures.

Here's what Donatella Versace had to say about the line that's set to launch November 19th....

Listen, if you’re looking for exotic leathers or the most luxurious fabrics in the world, you can go to the Versace store to find it,” said Donatella. “When I created this H&M collection, I knew that I was creating fashion that was for everyone, and that comes with obvious parameters in terms of the fabrics and finishes. I felt such incredible freedom when I designed the collection, creating something outside the usual system—to make an iconic collection that wasn’t for runway or a particular season, but which was just for the love of fashion. Just when I was having some faith that Lindsay would pull herself together she disappoints me. Lilo showed up at the launch of Saint's Row:The Third in LA dressed in a simple black dress. Everything was fine until she opened her mouth and.....OMG LOOK AT THOSE TEETH!!!!!!
Lindsay's teeth are yellow and decayed from years and years of drug abuse,cigarette smoking, and doing God knows what else with her mouth. I don't know what she is going through but there is excuse for those teeth. Hope Lilo cleans it up, she looks a little "crackish" #imjustsaying

The BET Awards were major this year as expected. Here are my favorite moments from this years BET Hip Hop Awards.

Mike Epps killed it with the comedy.
T.I got a great welcome back during his opening performance.
Wiz Khalifa rocked the stage with his rockstar performance.

There was a lot of new talent in the cyphers this year, but I think we can all agree that Busta Rhymes just about killed it.
I love Ludacris' lyric "any n**** talk slick I'll Tami Roman them".

The blind rapper was mad cool too. We are way more open and embracing. They should have had Fifty Tyson on there too.

DMX also hit the stage with a fury with his right hand man Swizz Beats. It was good to see the both of them performing. They performed a few of their old classics, and I was just about to clown!!!!
What was Rick Ross wearing during the cypher? I'm feeling his confidence but silk pajamas are never sexy on a big guy.
I love how Too $hort introduced Lupe Fiasco. Hip Hop is real and it is something that they can never take from you. Speaking of Lupe's performance how shocked were you to find out that it was Erykah Badu.
I love Estelle's freestyle flow "same thing different currency". Dope
LL Cool J had the realest acceptance speech ever. I wonder if he really worte that on his way there.
The Shady 2.0 was quite entertaining too. Eminem spiced it up with a little comedy while keeping true to his old school Eminem style.
How amazing was it to see Heavy D performing on stage again? It took me back to my childhood days and I just had to get up and dance. Hip hop at it's finest.

The curtains are closing on the Fall 2011 fashion shows and women everywhere are heading to their favorite retailers to buy the items that they saw on the runways. We've made made up our on which styles we think are hot or not for years without asking our male counterparts what they think, which leaves the question....who are women really dressing for?

But that's a whole other blog post.

Marie Claire asked a group of men what they thought about some of fall's fashion trends and I was very suprised to find that men weren't as turned on by the menswear, big coats, gigantic sleeves, and bold color schemes as women were.
It actually made me re-evaluate a lot of things I had planned to buy.

So much for the dominatrix style.

Large and In Charge: Comedian Turned Actress Luenell Is Blowing Up

I was so happy to see my girl Luenell Campbell in October's issue of Sister 2 Sister Magazine. You may recognize her as one of the most colorful female comedians in stand-up comedy or from her role in Borat, but if not look for her in upcoming projects such as Steve Harvey's book turned movie Act Like A Lady Think A Man and I Hate You Dad an Adam Sandler film where Luenell plays a stripper.
Despite her size, it is apparent that Luelle sees her self as a sex symbol. She is always known for her raunchy comedy and her cinfidence on stage, Her confidence probably comes from the struggle that Luenell has experienced. From her estranged husband leaving her due to a drug habit, to not living with her mother after her uncle killed her father , to having to sacrifice raising her daughter for years in order to make a better life for the both of them, Luenell has seen it all. Yet she still manages to hold her head high.

The technology world suffered a great loss yesterday as we lost Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple and inventor of Pixar Studios. Jobs is said to have died peacefully in his sleep after in his California home after battling cancer. Steve leaves with us his legacy through the technology we use today.

Bears Hall of Famer Dan Hampton Declines Visit To the White House.....Did Someone Cry Racist?

Based on his "personal choice" former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Dan Hampton declined President Obama's offer to come to the White House. Obama invited the entire 1985 Chicago Bears Super Bowl team to D.C, and Hampton was the only one to decline. Here are his reasons for not wanting to come.

Wives and children of the players weren't invited.
He says he's "not a fan of the guy in the White House."
"It was 25 years ago. Let it go."

Hmmmm....I think most people would just take the invitation because it's an opportunity that most don't get. There has to be more to the story, maybe he just doesn't like the "black" guy in the office. I'm not the one to always play the race card, but "I'm just saying".

Round 2: Fabolous Responds To Ray J's Breakfast Club Rant

Earlier today Ray-J called in to Power 105.1 the Breakfast Club show with C the God and Angela Yee, and it was absolutely hilarious.
Well as expected Fabolous called in to the Funkmaster Flex show about an hour ago to address the incident as well. Fab denies that they actually fought, but he says there was a verbal altercation between the two that resulted in a minor scuffle.

I'm still not sure which side I believe but like I said earlier they both need to quit and let it roll. Hopefully it will all ed in a handshake. I also hope that Ray isn't on the "Whitney" like Fab said.

Ray J v. Fabolous...what really went down in Vegas?

Word around town is that R&B singer and sex symbol Ray J and rapper Fabolous got into a scuffle backstage after a concert at the Palms Hotel. Some people that claimed to be there tweeted about the incident saying that although Ray threw the first punch, Fab took the belt.

However Ray J told a very different story this morning when he called in to the Breakfast Club and went of on Fab in a major way. It was certainly another side of Ray J, who is known for partying and loving the ladies.

The whole situation stemmed from Fabolous and Kevin Hart making jokes about Ray J singing "One Wish" at Floyd Mayweather's house during the pre-fight special. Stupid stuff as usual. Hopefully this doesn't go any further because beef is not cool.

Target Unprepared For Big Missoni for Target Launch

Fashion lovers all over the U.S were prepared for the Missoni for Target Launch this week, but unfortunately the large retailer did not prepare for the big day. At many Target stores the limited quantities were sold out within hours and online the server's couldn't handle the large customer response which cause the site to be down for hours. The lines were longer than Black Friday, and even though Target will replenish stock, in most states it may be hard to find something you actually wanted.

Basketball Wives LA Season Premiere

The series premiere of Basketball Wives LA and I'm blogging live during this show as it goes.

Here are my favorite moments and points from the show.

Gloria is really killing me with her trying to keep it real act. Girl where are you from. Maybe she feels like she has a lot to prove after how she was portrayed on Basketball Wives Season 2.

I love how Malaysia gave them the "clap-clap" and left during the opening dinner. These chicks are already too much for me as well.
I'm not sure how I feel about about Jason Williams' "estranged" wife Tanya, she seems a little awkward for this show but we will see.
I love how Jackie Christie put mainstream media on blast for tearing down black marriage in the entertainment industry.

Why is it that Gloria and Imani feel the need to hate on Malaysia because she had twins 8 months ago and feels confident enough to wear short shorts and heels.
Tanya Williams is on one. She talks about the wrong things at the wrong moments, like when Jackie was talking about her mother's illness and she went all into left field.

I never thought i would see a 27-piece on Basketball Wives but thanks to Malaysia's cousin we made history tonight.

I do love how they all do fun things like playing poker and paintball.
Laura is so messy, she said she wanted to talk to Tanya about working out, but all she did was gossip about Malaysia.

And of course the entire show ends with a big ghetto face off between.....well....all of the girls.

Just a mess if you ask me.

Honestly I wasn't a really big fan of the VMAs this year, they were kind of dry but there were a few monumental moments that made up for it. Here are my favorite VMA moments.\

Beyonce Preggers!!!!!!!!

I have been praying to the sun gods right along with Jay-Z for this moment!!!!! I missed the live pre-show so I was floored during the performance when she did the whole belly rub thing. I was able to catch the pre-show on DVR as well as get hold to some pictures of the beautiful Beyonce and her little baby bump. Beyonce had been hinting around about starting a family for a while. I raised an eyebrow when the September issue of InStyle came out and she said she would like to take some time out for her "family". I wonder what the baby's name will be. Well if Jay has a duaghter he said he would name her Brooklyn Carter (Hello Brooklyn). Hopefully the baby takes completely after Bey, because well.....it pretty much goes unsaid. I can't wait to see the baby pictures. Long time coming!!!!!

Gaga Can't Make It To First Base With Britney
Gaga's male alter-ego couldn't get a kiss from Britney while she was accepting her award. Britney who is known for kissing other women while onstage was not having that this year, and completely pretended that she didn't realize that Lady Gaga was fishing for a kiss. A lot of people didn't notice this but I thought it was the funniest moment of the night.

Chris Brown Soars Over The Crowd
The best performance was definetly my favorite performance of the entire show!!!!! I mean the dancing, the flying over the crowd, the man's energy. It was something special. That flip he did in the air was almost as awesome as when Pink was singing on the trapeze during an awards show performance....almost.

Moments I Despised

Lil' Wayne
As I metioned before I wasn't a big fan of the entire show, but I hated Lil' Wayne's outfit and his performance. I mean WTF doesn't anybody think he is acting a little "crackish"? I love Lil' Wayne's music just as much as the next one, in fact I will be reviewing The Carter 4, but animal print skinny jeans and a guitar?

Kreayshawn's Crew v. Rick Ross' Crew
This is a little tidbit that I just learned. Apparently Ross' crew was a little heated about some shots that Kreay- Kreay and decided to confront her live and in person backstage at the VMAs. I'm not sure who was who or what was what but there were guys yelling and pushing, Kreayshawn tried to be a little gangsta, and police were involved. Meanwhile the Boss stayed to the sideline while his goons handled Kreayshawn's posse. Hey Kreayshawn, it's not a good idea for a little tiny girl to diss a big black guy.

Mo' Money, Mo' Problems- "Watch the Throne" Release Comes With Rap Beef For Jay

After The Game dissed Jay-Z with his "Uncle Otis" song we had to know that there would be other rappers taking shots at Jay. Especially after Jay took an alleged shot at Baby in H.A.M.
"N***as talk about all the s**t that I do daily, like these rappers rappin' 'bout all the shit that I do really. I'm like really half a billy nigga really you got baby money, keep it real with n***as n***as ain't got my lady money."
It's not clear whether Jay was really taking shots or just rapping, but apparently Lil' Wayne took it as a serious shot at his Paw and decided to respond in his new single "It;s Good" from The Carter IV saying
" Talkin’ ‘bout baby money, I got your baby money/Kidnap your b-tch, Get that ‘how much you love your lady?’ money.”

Well how you like that? Jay talks about Baby, Wayne taks about Bey? How did the latter two get involved who knows. But it makes sense, I mean even if Baby did come out with a diss song towards Jay, we all know it would have been written by Wayne anyway.

Reality Show Re-Cap

Basketball wives, twins, football players, and fashionistas. Tonight was an eventful night for reality tv and as usual VH1 was winning!!!!! For those of you who missed any of the major shows, here's a brief re-cap.

Basketball Wives Reunion Pt. 2
As expected part two of the reunion picked up with the "popular b****es" ganging up on Meeka "Liar" Claxton for being a blabber mouth. She continued to talk in more circles than a slinky as her and Tami "Hoodrat" Roman went back and forth. The highlight of their entire spat is when Tami took shots at Speedy, which actually made him more relavent than he has ever been. The best part of the show however was them showing a clip of Shaunie O'Neal and Tami Roman blessing a young under-privileged girl with tuition money. Too bad the producers choose not to show things like this during the regular season, although Shaunie did hint that next season they will be bringing some balance to the negativity. So cross your fingers.

Lala's Full Court Life
I can already see this show being my favorite reality show this season. It is so nice to see Lala and Carmelo Anthony show the positive side to young, black relationships. The season opens up with Kelly Rowland and Po, two of Lala's closes friends, visiting her in Denver. Lala is on edge about the trade and how that will unfold, but since we already know wat's going to happen it's kind of hard to follow. Anyway, Lala, Kelly, and Po all sit courtside at a Nuggets game, and then head for drinks with Carmelo and his crew later. A bunch more fun stuff happened that I'm not going to go into detail about, so just catch the re-run on VH1. All around it was a fun show with much needed positivity.

T.O Show
The T.O show was extremely blah. The season opens with Terrel going through his ACL surgery, with none other than Kita by his side during the whole thing. I swear those two need to quit playing and go ahead and do the thing. She's more of a wife to him than anything. I'm just saying. After the smoke clears from his surgery, the young chick that he proposed to shows up and Terrel completely forgets everything and focuses all of his attention on her. So yeah pretty much the same thing that was going on last season.

Tia and Tamera
It was so wonderful to see those twins growing up, I mean Sister Sister was my show and now one is going to be a mom and one got married to a wonderful man. Looks aside. It was a beautiful wedding and I enjoyed the show, can't wait until next week!!!!

So all in all it was a fun night for t.v, I can't say that too often. Lala's Full Court Life was my favorite as expected. And is it just me, or are we all anxious to watch Basketball Wives LA next week?

Amil Reaches Out To Jay-Z During Interview

Do you all remember Amil? She was a female rapper that was signed to Rocafella Records and has also been paired up with Jay-Z. The two were rumored to be dating from 1998-2000 and she was supposedly dropped from The Roc after continuously fighting with Jay's assistants and gaining weight.

Now after disappearing from the scene and some shots fired at a couple of rappers from a twitter that Amil swears isn't hers, Amil pops back on the scene addressing multiple subjects in an interview with Vibe.com, especially her so called beef with Jay-Z.

"I haven't spoken to Jay in years but I really wish I could talk to him because that would just really bring closure to me. But he knows I love him," she said. "People think there was bad blood between us, but there never was any bad blood. Things happen and I wasn't ready for where my career was going at that time. It was really overwhelming."

Hmmmmm........wonder if she's feeling a little sick now that Jay is taking Beyonce's career to new heights.

Should The Game be Charged For His Twitter Hoax?

Friday rapper The Game tweeted to his 580,000 twitter followers that he was looking for interns and posted the number to the L.A Sheriff's Department non-emergency number. Thousands of people were calling in which caused the phone lines to be backed up for two hours. There was no interruption in emergency services but now there may be criminal charges filed against The Game, even though he claimed that his twitter account was hacked.

The story about his twitter account being hacked is somewhat unbelievable to me because I was live on twitter at the time he posted that tweet and the verbage was definetly his. But criminal charges are a bit extreme. It was a stupid prank, but I think it's more along the lines of something you should be fined for and not a real crime. I mean the media is even calling it a flash mob and which celebrity has ever gone to jail for a flash mob?

Seems like The Game is going to be used as an example.

Dr. Dre Sells Shares of Beats Electronic For $300 Million!!!!!

Talk about money making moves!!!!!! Dr. Dre has sold 51% of his shares in his audio company Beats Electronic to Taiwanese company HTC, popular for their mobile devices.
The Wall Street Journal reported that the company was acquired to improve the sound quality on phones, music, video games and movies for HTC.

Although HTC has acquired over half of the company, Dr.Dre and Jimmy Iovine will still run the entire company.

“When Jimmy and Dre started this, they had a very specific vision of what Beats would be. It wasn’t about headphones, it was about fixing the degradation of sound.”

The countdown has finally ended and a masterpiece has been released. Without any leaks, but with a lot of speculation, "Watch the Throne" has finally dropped early this morning to download and it is well worth the wait and lives up to the hype. This album is for straight up hip-hop lovers. Jay and Kanye rip serious verses over some of the dopest beats. Watch the Throne is one of those albums that you turn on for a long time and before you look up your there, and you were so into the music that you didn't realize how long you were riding. There are no gimmicks, just real rap. This album is epic and makes me reminisce about real hip hop.

Basketball Wives Season Finale

Basketball Wives Season 3 ended with a bang as expected. Notorious blabber mouth Meeka Claxton wasn't on the scene so things were almost peaceful as the girls wrapped up the show. Suzy attempted to play mediator once again between Royce and Jennifer, which ended in Jennifer walking out before Royce could meet up with the two at a pre-arranged get together. Of course Royce kept her tough demeanor and made a stab at Jen's crazy looking gray colored contacts. You know that was funny.
Shaunie O'neal started negotiations for her first shoe line in partnership with Chinese Laundry, while Evelyn had a confrontation with Chad about a lunch date that he went on with some other chick. The whole thing ended in smiles and giggles which made me question the reality of these reality shows. That's a whole other post though.....
The major drama of the night was the confrontation between Jennifer and Eric Williams. It got pretty nasty when Jennifer revealed that Eric had been contacting her in an attempt to reconcile their relationship. Eric all of a sudden started going in on Jen talking about how she would never be anything and blah, blah, blah. Then after he has said all that he could think of he gets up to walk out on her, but before he could get two paces away Jennifer throws her drink at him which barely sprinkled the back of his shirt. He then comes back, gets in Jen's face, and throws a drink in her face, nearly hitting her in the face. What would you expect from Eric Williams?
But it's cool though, because Jen had her divorce party and killed Eric off on her wedding cake. She also was very, very, cozy with the guy that Al Reynolds hooked her up with. I'm pretty sure that she got some too.

So you know they ended it there so we would be anxious for two weeks waiting for the reunion show. I hope they have heavy security because I have a feeling that somebody is going to throw something, a fist, an elbow, a shoe, something. And you know I will keep you all updated.

FOX News Calls Obama's Birthday Celebration A "Hip Hop BBQ"!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few days ago President Barack Obama celebrated his 50th birthday by taking a few hours out of his busy life to attend a small barbecue in the White House's Rose Garden. Among attendees were Jay-Z, Chris Rock, Oprah Winfrey and a few other high-end celebrities. So as usual somebody has to hate and when it comes to Obama it's usually FOX News. You can just smell the racist undertones when reporting on the festivities. You can even tell by the headline "Obama's Hip-Hop BBQ Didn't Create Jobs" that they were trying to take a stab at our president. With only one rapper present how is this a hip-hop bbq? Then to imply that the president can't take a few hours to enjoy his 50th birthday just because the greed of Wall Street causes the stock market to rise and fall like nobody's business....that's just wrong.
FOX News needs to give it a break with the biased news. When is it a problem to take a break, take the weight of the world off of your shoulders, and clear your mind. Any POTUS is over-worked and under paid, so if anything we should be glad that the president took a small break during this drama that he didn't create but has to fix. Otherwise he may make wrong decisions that could affect millions of lives. That, and the fact that you only turn 50 once and I'm sure plenty of presidents took breaks to celebrate their birthdays.
FOX News needs to chill and find some other reason to criticize Obama, they are really making themselves look bad.

These days if you have a computer, a smartphone, and a wordpress account you can say you are a blogger. With the advancement of technology everybody has these so now everybody thinks they are a blogger. Well truth is you aren't, I have been doing this since before the word blogger hit the dictionary, and I'm quite tired of all the filth that I have seen on the internet. After researching who actually started some of these blogs it angers me anymore because there are some educated black individuals who actually control the filth that is on the web, which means that they are strategically playing on the lack of education within urban communities. Take Mediatakeout for example. The individual who started this blog is an educated businessman who actually has a law degree, so why are there constantly grammatical errors in every blog? Why do they report filth within the black community? Why are they dumbing themselves down purposely? Why is it that they call themselves the most visted urban website, but don't do anything to uplift urban communities? Hmmmmm makes you wonder what type of plan the African businessman had when he opened the blog. I'm not saying that it isn't entertaining, it is. It's just as entertaining as Basketball Wives or the Flavor of Love, and just as detrimental to the black communities. Then it kills me even more that they are never reporting facts, it's always some type of rumor or speculation and we don't even bother to check the reports. Kills me.
Why is that we can't read sites like www.globalgrind.com , www.necolebitchie.com, or www.mz-knowitall.blogspot.com where there are real bloggers/reporters who actually check the facts and use spell check? Not to say that you shouldn't read the ghetto blogs, but use them for what they are pure entertainment, and not a viable news source. Will I stop reading them, no I think they are entertaining. Will I ever quote them or link back to them, yes if they have a valid news story that I can verify with other sources. But let's stop allowing them to demean us by dumbing down and giving us garbage to read. Expand your horizons and your vocabulary.
I'm not hating, I'm just saying.

Honestly, I haven't even been watching Basketball Wives Season 3 for one reason and one reason only, Meeka Claxton. Putting it all on the table, I can't stand her ass. I can't stand a grown woman who sits there and runs her mouth and expects it to be just that. I was even more heated when I found out that Meeka was suing "Cousin Tammi" (as I have began to call her) for the altercation in Italy, so I had to tune in last night to see Meeka get her "face smacked off" as Suzie says. I really wanted to see if in fact she really did deserve it as I am not a big fan of grown women fighting, and just as expected she did. She ran her mouth to Suzie whose loyalty clearly lies with Tami, and then when confronted with the situation she purposely put her fingers in Tami's face in the exact way that Tami had previously asked her not to do. So in my book, Meeka, you asked for it. And once again, poor Suzie was caught in the middle.

If you ask me (which you did that's why you are reading) Tami just needed to set this bitch straight and she didn't even mess her face up so Meeka can sit down with the lawsuits. You didn't see Evelyn suing last season did you?

I was browsing through one of my favorite how-to apps on my IPOD touch (How Stuff Works if anyone is interested) when I came across one of the most interesting articles ever.
Sooooooo.......apparantely there is some ancient berry from Africa that upon placing it on your tongue will coat it with it's surface and trick your taste buds into thinking sweet is sour and sour is sweet. It's such an interesting phenomenon that people are actually hosting parties where you drink the juice and then taste different foods to experience what is now known as "flavor trripping". It amazes me that instead of using this for some type of good people are using it to trick their minds and feel a sort of high.

Chris Brown Lands Role in "Think Like a Man"

I am a huge fan of Chris Brown.

I know that after that a lot of you probably didn't read past the first line but in reality I don't know Chris Brown personally I only know him as an artist so I refuse to judge him for things that occur in his personal life and I have never had a personal conversation with him.
So with that said, I am very excited to see Chris in a movie again and I will get that opportunity to see him in Steve Harvey's "Think Like a Man". They are turning the popular book into a movie, and even though I think the book was a complete snooze the film may actually be interesting.
It's about four couples whose lives were turned around when the women in the relationships picked up a copy of Steve Harvey's book "Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man".
Interesting, I hope Steve Harvey is not inn it and I'm sure that there will be a scene when Breezy take's his shirt off.

Sidenote: Media outlets need to learn to let a man have his moment. I picked up this story from Huffington Post and they literally said two or three words about Chris being in the movie and the rest of the article was about Rihanna. It's sad that in the future when Chris wants to show his children and grand-children articles about him that it will be interrupted with tales of his anger issues...let the man have his moment.

In another case of the pot calling the kettle black, R&B singer and reality star Ray-J will be adding author to his list of accomplishments. The "Sexy Can I" singer will be penning a book on how to be faithful in a relationship. (I will pause for the reaction.) According to Sister 2 Sister magazine the book, titled How to be Faithful in a Commited Relationship, will be published under Zane's Strebor Books.
We have all seen Ray-J entertain many lady friends on his reality show, when in reality he had a real boo already. We also saw those infidelity issues pan out in A Family Business, which resulted in the break up between Ray-J and his girlfriend Brittany. But finally at the age of 30, Ray J has finally learned his lesson I guess and he believes that he can teach others how to be faithful too.
Yeah....right.
The book is scheduled to come out some time next year so we will see how that goes.

Katt Williams Bodyguard Does a 187 on a German Shepard!!!!!

Sooooooo, apparantly Katt Williams had another serious confrontation, but this one ended in gunfire and bloodshed. Fortunately it wasn't a human that was killed, this time it was a German Shepard. The retired police dog got loose during a family outing and bit one of Katt's bodyguards while they lunched at Jack in the Box. According to TMZ this prompted another one of Katt's bodyguard to fatally shoot the dog whose name is Lester. All is well however because Katt Williams apoligized for the incident and bought the owners a new puppy.

I don't know how to feel about this story. I mean I am a dog lover so I'm always sad to hear about something happening to an animal, but those German Shepards are big and mean so I probably would have done the same thing. It's ironic too that he had a German Shepard in the car with him on his American Hustle comedy dvd.

SUPRISE VERDICT OF THE YEAR!!!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY OF KILLING HER DAUGHTER CAYLEE!!!!!!!!

Casey hugs her attorney after hearing the not guilty verdict.

I must say that I am absolutely suprised by the verdict passed today. I completely expected Casey Anthony to be convicted of murder and sentenced to death, I mean it just makes more sense. but we have to believe in the judgement system and if the verdict says "not guilty" then that's what it is. In fact I am very happy that she was found not guilty because as a woman I don't want to believe thst any woman would murder a child, especially one as beautiful as Caylee. But still I'm wondering why al the lies? Why did Casey fabricate such grand stories just to thwart detectives during her daughter's investigation. And what type of woman would be out clubbing after hearing that her daughter's body had been found in the woods not far from her home?
I don't know, all I do know is that the verdict is not guilty but Casey could still face jail time after being found guilty of lying to investigators. Her three years that she has already spent behind bars will count as time served however so I am sure she will walk.

Victoria Saves Nudity for Husband While Pregnant

There is an ongoing trend amongst expecting celebrities to bare all and pose nude while pregnant. I am so against this, I mean you are exposing an intimate part of your body. I mean sometimes the pictures are tasteful (google search Tamara Mowry pregnancy pics) and sometimes they are a little trashy ( google search Mariah Carey/Nick Cannon pregnancy pics), but now there are average people taking pregnancy pics and they are just getting downright ratchet!!!!!
But we can rest assure that our international diva Victoria Beckham will not be following the trend to promote her new clothing line. In an interview with Women's Wear Daily she explained that while she doesn't think baring it all for pregnancy pics was not a bad thing, she does think that it should be saved for her husband. I don't think anyone needs to see that, other than my husband. Absolutely not."

Big Sean is Finally Famous

So anyone who know me knows that I am a huge fan of Detroit music. I absolutely love my hometown. Being me, I have had the honor to rub elbows with some of Detroit's well know talent before they made it to the big leagues. I knoew Big Sean back in the day when we were in highschool so I was estatic when I was able to actually go to Best Buy and buy his cd ( I also downloaded the deluxe edition from Itunes). There's no greater feeling than people that you know making it, especially when they work hard.
I can honestly say that Big Sean deserves everything he gets and I can honestly say that this is a hot album. There are tracks on there for everyone, club hoppers, swag surffers, groupies, and the ladies. While you can tell that Sean didn't take too many chances with this album, but his lyrical ability makes this album a banger. He has a lot of guest appearances such as Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, John Legend, and Rick Ross. His mentor Kanye also jumps on a few tracks with him.
Being impartial I will give this album a 4, but if you have the deluxe edition it is definetly a 5 because of the bonus tracks.
