R.I.P Mays Angelou: The Caged Bird is Free

I'm in tears as I write this. It has been confirmed that Maya Angelou has departed from this earth at the age of 86.

The famous writer, activist, and humanitarian is survived by her son Guy Johnson who released the following statement to Associated Press.

"Her family is extremely grateful that her ascension was not belabored by a loss of acuity or comprehension. She lived a life as a teacher, activist, artist and human being. She was a warrior for equality, tolerance and peace. The family is extremely appreciative of the time we had with her and we know that she is looking down upon us with love," Angelou's son Guy Johnson said in a statement.

Ms. Janet sure does know how to keep a secret.....oooooh weeee she got us all again!
She FINALLY let the cat out the bag and revealed that she married millionaire and fashion mogul Wissam Al Mana last year. The two opted out of a grand ceremony and instead had a small wedding, donating the funds that would have been used for their nuptials to charity. Awwww.....cute.
I'm so not mad at Janet keep it lowkey and keep these haters out your business. (You coulda invited a sistah to the reception though lol)

Stiletto McQueen and Black Guvernment

Story time.....I feel something is special when you have a story behind it and with all the magic that's been happening with The Campaign I started to think about when I first joined Black Guvernment. I was introduced to Black Guvernment through a friend of mine we call Jake Diamondz. When Jake and I met we were working our 9-5s that we had at the time. Dude was absolutely entertaining so we instantly clicked. I think it was actually our manager who linked us together on the business tip, a favor I will NEVER forget! It took a minute but I made my way to Black Guvernment headquarters for a meeting where I met Big Gov, Big Scam, Truth, DCK, and Prez. I was digging the music before I came, but it was the people I fell in love with instantly. If I had to describe them from my first impression I would have to say talented, funny, genuine, humble, real.
Fast forwarding....
Time has certainly been flying must be due to me having fun. It's been almost a year since I joined the family, I have seen them trim the fat, met other members Snatra747, P Dot and Phenom just to name a few, and witnessed them create HITS.
In the beginning it was about business, but now almost a year later it's about family. So I'm asking those of you who have not had a chance to listen to The Campaign to check it out, download it and share it.

Drake Set To Produce Aaliyah Posthumous Album????

So the Canadian born sractor ( singer, rapper, actor) Drake has been proving for the longest that even the most famous entertainers have weird celeb obsessions. But unlike the little people when you're famous you don't blog about stars you produce albums in their memory.
A few months ago after he got that creepy tattoo of Aaliyah on his back rumors had been circulating about Drake producing the new Aaliyah album. Well now HipHopDX has brought it back full circle. According to industry sources Drake is going to be the executive producer for the new Aaliyah album. This is supported by Drake using the deceased songtress' vocals on his upcoming single which he is going to debut at the OVO Fest August 5th. He also hinted to Tim Westwood that he had a "special thing" related to Aaliyah, a few months back during an interview, however Aaliyah's brother Rashad Haughton says there is no such project.
Hmmmmm.....
I'm not a big fan of the whole posthumous back from the dead album thing, especially after a certain mad white rapper totally flopped Tupacs resurrection album. One thing I do know is that as emotional as Drake can be that this will not be something to listen to alone with a bottle of wine. I hate to say this as much as I love Drake I hope he is jumping the gun with this one.

The Autopsy Is In!!!! What Really Killed Whitney Houston?

After weeks of speculation the coroner has released the autopsy reports that detail what killed Grammy award winning legend Whitney Houston. According to CBS News the singer died from accidental drowning but cocaine and heart disease were "contributing factors". Houston had cocaine in her system when she died, the coroner added. Marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl were also found in her system, but did not contribute to the singer's death. Other prescription medications were found on the scene but not in excessive amounts.

SMH...so sad. Whitney apparently fell asleep in the tub after a few cocktails, probably while getting ready for the Clive Davis party that was going on downstairs. According to one of TMZ's inside sources it is "very possible" Whitney had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown. The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use.

The coroner also suggest that there was no evidence of foul play, even though some of Whitney's closest friends and family members have alleged that there was indeed foul play and that people may even me after the singers 19 year old daughter Bobbi Christina.

Shame on it all!!!!

Ray J Reps Say Hell No To Sex Tape Rumor!!!!

Representatives for Ray J are shooting down reports that the One Wish crooner is trying to come up by selling footage of hime and Whitney Houston getting hot and heavy. Not only does Ray's camp deny the allegations of the tape being on the auction block, but they are also denying the tapes existence.

"The despicable tabloid report released today claiming the existence of a sex tape between Ray J and Whitney Houston is not true," Ray J's rep, Courtney Barnes, tells E! News. "This story along with so many others have been released to sell magazines. There is no sex tape or explicit photos."


Hmm.......
I can't say that I believe that there isn't a tape at all, In mean Ray J is notorious for his cameo appearnces in celeb pornos. However, I don't believe that Ray J would ever try to sell such a tape knowing that it would ruin Whitney's legacy. I don;t know what to think but......

Shame on it all!!!!!

Real Life Disney Princesses

I initially discovered this artist Jirka Väätäinen a few months ago and wrote about him on my fashion and beauty blog at www.thefabprofessionals.com because he was so amazing. He creates graphic images of what Disne princesses would look like if they were real instead of cartoons. The images are so amazing that people from all over the world began to request that he do mock-ups of their favorite DIsney princesses. For the first time Blue Ivy and Beyonce have been photographed outside, as they went to a yoga class together. The yoga class was suggested to Beyonce by her celeb buddy Gwyneth Paltrow. Kimbella confirmed at the end of last season that she was carrying Juelz Santana's third child (smh), Jim Jone's fiance Chrissy has been spotted with a little pooch, and after Yandy asked that she not be filmed with Chrissy at the reunion, it has been confirmed that she is indeed pregnant by her boyfriend. Yes, it's the same guy who was rumored to have jumped Jim Jones.
Hmmmmmm.....I don't have much to say but I think Beyonce pretty much sums it up when she says oh baby, Oh Baby, OH BABY!!!!
