Story time.....I feel something is special when you have a story behind it and with all the magic that's been happening with The Campaign I started to think about when I first joined Black Guvernment. I was introduced to Black Guvernment through a friend of mine we call Jake Diamondz. When Jake and I met we were working our 9-5s that we had at the time. Dude was absolutely entertaining so we instantly clicked. I think it was actually our manager who linked us together on the business tip, a favor I will NEVER forget! It took a minute but I made my way to Black Guvernment headquarters for a meeting where I met Big Gov, Big Scam, Truth, DCK, and Prez. I was digging the music before I came, but it was the people I fell in love with instantly. If I had to describe them from my first impression I would have to say talented, funny, genuine, humble, real.
Fast forwarding....
Time has certainly been flying must be due to me having fun. It's been almost a year since I joined the family, I have seen them trim the fat, met other members Snatra747, P Dot and Phenom just to name a few, and witnessed them create HITS.
In the beginning it was about business, but now almost a year later it's about family. So I'm asking those of you who have not had a chance to listen to The Campaign to check it out, download it and share it.

Black Music Mondays-Disrespectful

My guys stay moving, moving, moving.....on go no breaks as they say. Now if them releasing The Campaign mixtape wasn't enough  (see previous post for free download) but now these guys have pledged to drop a new song EVERY Monday. 
The first single from the Black Music Mondays series is titled "Disrespectful" and it is definitely that. This track lays it all on the line and no matter what you gotta relate to it! It's everything you ever wanted to say, but you will definitely want to cuff your chick!

I've been gone running around with Black Guvernment Music Group while they have been working on a project called The Campaign. I've experienced long studio nights, witnessed ideas manifest into magic, and even got to hit the road with the gang.

Black Guvernment Music Group...It's a Movement!!!!!

Does Black Guvernment ever sleep? Probably not because these guys are always on the move! They are everywhere with new music and upcoming releases. You have to make sure that you check out Big Gov's The Debt Collector on iTunes as well as Don't Count Me Out the new single from Jake Diamondz. If you are a smartphone user search for Big Gov on your Pandora or IHeart radio apps.
You can also see Black Guvernment live!!!! Come party with the team February 10th at Blondie's in Detroit, MI while they celebrate Big Gov's birthday and the release of his Guvernment Assistance mixtape. Make sure you grab the Guvernment Assistance mixtape when it comes out to. It will be hosted by two heavy hitters DJ Cassius Cain and DJ Pest and it's powered by the Professional DJs. Big Gov will also be performing tonight at Cobras for the ” D Hat” appreciation party. You can also catch the crew every Monday at Word of Mouth open mic which is now hosted at Plush in Inkster, MI.
